N900 is the most innovation mobile phone from from Nokia which can make you feel like using computer on mible phone. This time Nokia use Maemeo the os that base on Linux instead of Symbian as usual. Maemo has many good advantages.

Firstly, it support multitask and it can operate quickly. Secondly, Maemo interface is look a lot like computer and it is an open source os which mean many programer can create many program to support it freely. Thirdly,  It has 3.5 inches screen with 800 x 480 resolution plus the browser from Firefox which support flash player. These application will make you feel like using PC. It still has good performance in gaming, it can play  the game such as Warcraft II,Star craft and Duke Nukem with a good fram rate. Moreover, since it os is base on Linux so someone try to install Ubuntu. There still have many weird news about N900 such as it can use PS3 controller and Wii controller to play a game on N900 or even running Mac OS on N900. Maybe those news is how Nokia promote N900. Anyway, N900 will launch in Thailand in March and the price would be around 23,000 baht. This N900 would be a new challenger for iphone or not we must have to wait and see.

Nowaday the Principles or basic of new handsets or mobile phone today still nothing more than Calls into / out, Camera. and format supports an MP3 (do not listen to it must be set ringtones). The remaining features will also fragmented by different brands and prices are set enables mobile users to receive / call. They want to find a few spare machines or second phone.

Because of this point and need then the Vodafone wireless industry has launched a new mobile phone models with the announcement that the mobile version of the mobile phone as a wireless. Cheapest in the world at the same version number 2 version called Vadofone 150 and 250, respectively.

That the cheapest in the world. Reports that it has been Vadofone 150 launch price is around 15 dollars, around 500 Thai Baht . For Vadofone 250 it’s cost not difference only 20’s dollars around 600 Thai baht.

As we know google company be the biggest ad strongest company that provide all multi media and network in the online world. Now they found another distribution for their business is mobile phone. They launch a new smart phone into market  known as “Google Phone”.

Although the flow of the Nexus One or Android Phone in Thailand now is not very well known as the iPhone or BlackBerry is widely known in more than then. However, it is possible that future Android Phone calls will be used more widely used than this. This would depend on whether Google will be able to develop or adjust the application to use and fits the customer. While other competitors such as iPhone, BlackBerry and Symbian are open war increasingly to be the number one of smart phone.

Nexus One phone is not smart phones that use Android OS operating system version on the market, but first a Nexus One handset. First, under Google’s Android OS as a mold themselves up after letting other manufacturers such as HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG and other Android phones to send out to each share market over 1 year. then the other functions of the Nexus One feature that will convert speech to text, cut the noise by using sound, Mike received the Air 2 package, which is Google has Nexus One manufacturer HTC.

Android Phone has produced many models out in the market to produce the concept as Google’s own designed all. Today why I talk about “privacy” in this article because of internet world is change so fast. It never stop go beyond and development and become as innovation era. Then I wanna talk about privacy in social network as “FACEBOOK”

Reference the article from PANTIP .com they review how to keep our facebook’s privacy.

1. Segment and separate people into group
   • Example Friend from Request, Friend from your Email, Friend from your phonebook and friend from suggestions. Moreover we can create new friend group and adds your friend into your group such as Hometown Friends, School Friends and etc.

   

2. Adjust “NEWS FEED”
   • First of all separate friends into group and then when you wanna update your status or view other friend’s update it will show a symbol of master key then click it to select a group of people those can view your update and those you want see their update or feed such as Everyone, friend to friend, only friend and customize.

   

3. Hide your information
   • Privacy Setting: you can adjust and customize what’s information you want everyone to see and what’s information that you don’t want to publish.

   

Finally I think that before sign or registration any online community we should find information and educate it before use. Because of internet world is every complicate and complex. All the danger turn to the internet world because it fast and mass then we cannot know where a danger come from. The better way to protect our privacy are don’t trust and be carefully

GT200 Nvidia

Recently in Thailand, there was an issue about GT200 a bomb finder tool that seem doesn’t work well. From the 20 times testing, it found the bomb 4 time only which make many people curious about its performance and want the army to stop use it before many soldier would be harmed by it. Even though, it has poor performance but its price is cost around 900,000 Baht. Furthermore, if we check the transaction record of GT200, every times they bought, the price was always different which make many people more curious about it. Therefore, a few days ago, the military officer was held a press conference about GT200, the idea of that press is to tell the public that GT200’s performance is effective and trustworthy.

They use the slide show to show the picture of GT200 circuit board to show how it works. This might look good, If the circuit board that they show wasn’t a circuit board of Nvidia GT200 Graphic card from Nvidia company one of the graphic card producer which very famous in the global !!. After the press ended, the picture from this press was post around the famous web board on internet such as Pantip and a few hours later the video clip version of this press was post on youtube also with an English subtitle. Everyone seems to have fun on this failure of Thai army. However, in the next day, none of this news appears on the media in Thailand except the web board on the internet. I guess the media were controlled again for this time. Well, the GT200 issue still becomes hot topic on the internet that everyone of us can only pray that when it would be stopped using. However, this time we learn that at least Thai army can use google too.

Note: if you search GT200 picture on google you will get the same picture that was shown in a slide which belong to Nvidia Graphic card

Blackberry is the mobile device that was originally developed to be a tool for helping business people to be able to do a job all the time. It has function to instantly connect to Email and internet which can help business people a lot. Lately, they expand the target to general consumer and they developed an instant messaging for BB which is called BBM to penetrate the general consumer target. In Thailand, AIS is the first distributor, they use a celebrity marketing by giving BB to many celebrities in Thailand. When many consumers saw the celebrities use BB, so they started to use BB because the celebrities create this trend.

It prevailed to my culture because everyone around me started to use BB. It started to popular because BB create the strong social network which everyone in the network can stay connect together 24 hours. When one of my friends use it, they start to convince another. In conclusion, it become success because the BB user keep generate the word of mouth and always influence their friend to use BB.

I think BB quite affect my life, it make people have less face to face communication. For example, I was having lunch with my friend but both of them always chatting on BB which both of them was chatting together on BB. They said they was having a conference with other friends on BB so both of them have to chat on BB to stay connect with their friends.

I quite concern about BB, like I said it make people have less face to face communication but many of them seem to happy about chatting on BB. Nowadays, we can see many people chatting BB while walking ,crossing the road or even BB while they having a party at the pub. I think BB addicted is quite dangerous, it can distract people attention and make them more materialism, some kid who can’t afford BB by themselves ask for the money from their parent which I think it doesn’t right.

From Assignment that select the term of use of one digital/ online provider. I decide to talk about Hotmail service what they offer and what are their condition that I have to follow and is it harm and violent to my privacy.

According to the term of use of hotmail before using their service. Hotmail is the online service provider as a major webmail service. Anyone who really to be and use this service including me must agree an follow the term and police of service company and obey the country law and  regulation. If you won’t agree to do, you can’t use their service.

The key that I think that it is violent to my privacy are the security or privacy system that hotmail provide for me . It isn’t secure enough example; sometime you may got  mail or message from the contact that you didn’t before and it’s information that come with mail is harm and dirty we can called “Junk mail,Spam mail” I really wonder where those contact get my email or contact. How does the service provider kept my information and my privacy.

According to the term of use of hotmail about the “Privacy”

It is both the negative and positive effect to my privacy. For the positive site that my information that I sign it can guarantee and confirm that who i am and all its information is the private.  But for the negative effect, if my information lose to other it may harm to me. Moreover how i trust the service provider that they didn’t open my information such as my mail or my message in webmail.

Form the privacy that made me surprise was I cannot sent and receive any mail even I am the owner of mail,  It look like my mail got a virus that I didn’t know where it came from.

When I sign up or registration to use their service or any website I never read all agreement or term of use before I check agree. Because of when I  really want sign up to use it service that mean I have to agree it before I use. And the service provide didn’t let me use their service if i didn’t agree with their commitment or term.

According to assignment I have to select and pick up one advertisement and analyze its visual, presentation, audio and content. So I think of one advertisement that I interest and think that It production, process, content  and it’s  concept is so great and nice to see and remember. It is The Dell “TREATS” commercial.

Dell is running  advertising under campaign “Treats”, a television commercial featuring factory workers singing the song “Lollipop”. The song is so cute and its song have a style that easy listen and soft.

For Visual part of this Advertising is so match in very direction. I think that Art direction in this ads is very professionals in this part because of color that they use even through mode and tone, contract of color are suitable to each other. Moreover every color that they use in this ads it can persuade and make audience remember.  However they still select color that match with their product color.

For Presentation part, In this ads its present about product’s message indirect but it use color, mood and tone, music and actor’s performance to send message to audience. It made people go along with ads not because of it was product advertising but it look seem that you watch music video or review song.

For audio part, this ads selected a song form 1958 “Lollipop” to be a theme song for ads. Its song is match to mood and tone of ads. Moreover this song id cute and easy to listening and sing along with ads when ads run on broadcast. Because of song is cute and easy to remember then it also easy to stall in audience memory and easy to recall a brand when heard that song.

For Content part of this advertising, It isn’t direct message to audience and consumer. But the content of this ads is simply and easy to understand. It could show audience how professional Dell are and what Dell offer to consumer and audience.

We can better educated consumer by learn what is there interest in present and tried to be with them. Close to consumer can help to understand them what they want. Moreover should understand and up to date about innovative product and new technology.

We can develop advertising beside hard sell by use easy but difference. Nowadays most of ads use direct message to audience. It made them feel that the product’s company care only their benefit and income. But turn to use indirect message to talk to consumer by  advertising.

Nowadays everyone supposed to familiar with the “Hi-Def” and “Blu-Ray” . Wherever you go or talking about display resolution of picture in movie, video and television. They will suggest and select Hi-def or Blu-Ray quality to be there choice. WHY???? Have you ever asked yourself.

In the past, We watch movie form videotape (VDO) that is an analog. The quality of picture isn’t good then we found another way for watching better quality and resolute of picture is ” VCD”. In that moment VCD was the best resolute for movie picture. People turned to select VCD more than VDO.  However evolution of media isn’t stop. It always find something better instead exist one. Then “DVD” is occur, people prefer DVD than VDO and VCD because quality and resolute is better moreover it is convenience. Because of DVD has more space than VDO and VCD to keep file.

When we watch DVD , we think that the quality is good and clear. However it’s not stop at DVD.  Because of  need and want  of people never stopped,then  Blu-Ray occurs to serve people satisfaction.  Now when you open DVD to watch and compare with Blu-ray, they think that DVD isn’t clear like Blu-Ray. Now when people talk about quality of picture movie they prefers to select Blu-Ray  as their first choice and share other.

As I write in this blog, we cannot knew and decision that which one that be an influenced between people satisfaction made media change and non stop go beyond or evolution of media made people changed their behavior of living.

Have You ever ask yourself, what are application or technologies that should be in your mobile phone or PDA phone? Is it enough for you?

Today I had a chance to read some article. It spoke about 8 mobile technologies that should have in mobile phone and PDA phone.

First, Bluetooth 3.0

The specification of Bluetooth 3.0 are faster speeds, reportedly transferring files at 480 megabits per second in close proximity and 100 megabits per second at 10 meters. It will also feature an ultra-low-power mode

Second and Third Mobile User Interface and Mobile Web/Widgets

Mobile User Interface and mobile Web/Widgets are a foundation of application that people need in their mobile phone and PDA phone. Because of everything in society change rapidly. We need fast and convergence to serve oursatisfaction.So browser and any widgets are the factor that people looking for.

Fourth, Location Awareness

Location serching, such as GPS as well as Wi-Fi and triangulation, opens up new possibilities for mobile social networking and presence applications. Many company add locational service into application For example Blackberry they add google map as their application.

Fifth, Near Field Communication(NFC)

NFC is a technology that provides a way for consumers to use their mobile phones for making payments, among other things. NFC is more likely to take off in emerging markets. Other uses of the technology, such as the ability to transfer photos from phone to digital photo frames, will also remain elusive to more developed markets.

Sixth and Seventh 802.11n and Cellular Broadband

802.11n, a specification for wireless local area networks (WLANs), at first gave us pause. Although not ratified as an official standard yet, the technology is already commonplace.

On the flip side, the other internet connection technology, cellular broadband, has the potential to make Wi-Fi almost unnecessary, at least for achieving high speeds. In addition to mobile phones, laptop makers will likely continue to incorporate this technology into their netbooks and notebooks using modern chipsets.

Last, Display Technologies

Display technologies are improvement everyday. New technologies like active pixel displays, passive displays and pico projectors will have an impact.  Example Pico projectors – the tiny portable projectors we saw being introduced at this year’s CES – will enable new mobile use cases. Instant presentations in informal settings could become more common when there isn’t large, cumbersome equipment to set up.

For all 8 mobile Technologies that I talk about today, it should me another factor that help you to decide when you  are looking for a new mobile or any device. Nowadays everything change rapidly then we should find something to help us can go along with it.
